About the Real Machine

Based on the iconic 1990s JCB 3CX Sitemaster design, this Lowcab variation was a mainstay across British and Global construction sites, highways agencies, and municipal plant fleets throughout the decade. Featuring a reduced-height cab profile engineered to pass under restricted clearances and fit easily on standard transport trailers, this backhoe loader combines classic 1990s styling with versatile earth-moving power. It is an essential, era-accurate addition for model railway layouts depicting Era 8 (1982–1997) through to modern-day preservation and contractor scenes.
