About the Vessel

Small wooden tenders, skiffs, and work dinghies were vital to daily operations across British inland waterways and busy port basins. Used by lightermen, canal boatmen, and wharf workers, these rugged, open-topped boats transported small break-bulk goods, tools, and crew members between large moored barges and shallow canal banks where larger vessels could not berth.

Paint the hull with weathered timber tones, apply green moss or algae washes along the waterline, and add a subtle high-gloss varnish onto the surrounding water resin to blend the boat seamlessly into your canal scene!
